Beautiful, elegant and fresh, with aromas of pure red fruit, blackberries, crushed roses and violets and volcanic minerality. Mouthwatering acidity and fine tannins on the palate. An expressive, aromatic and profound wine. From own-rooted vines planted in 1968. Drink or hold.

The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Montecillo Vineyard is a fabulous wine from this historic Moon Mountain vineyard. Deep, dark and expansive, the 2023 wraps around the palate with copious dark-toned fruit, gravel, licorice, espresso, menthol and lavender. A wine of exquisite finesse and nuance, the Montecillo is seriously impressive and delicious. This is outrageously great.
