The 2024 Riesling Dhroner Grosser Hengelberg Monopollage Réserve shows smooth, creamy oak that frames white apricot and peach aromas. The palate is supremely concentrated, absolutely compact, very stony and so precise. This is incisive at its heart. The 2024 is slate-driven and citric but surrounded by smooth oak charm. How can something be so stony yet so charming? The 2024 unites ancient vines, creaminess, wonderful poise and slate. (Bone-dry)
