This is a cool, brilliant and mineral riesling with so much wet stone character alongside lime peel, white grapefruit and small white flowers on the nose. Coriander leaf and root. Sharp and exciting, medium-bodied, precise and full of mountain freshness. Sustainable. Drink or hold.

Rich, broad and floral – given it blind I might almost guess Gewurz! Such a contrast to the Steinriegel Federspiel! Though actually in this wine the balance between richness and acidity sees about right. Though there is still a lot of chew on the end so no hurry to drink. Jancis Robinson

Light greenish yellow, silver reflections. Fine mango, hints of yellow tropical fruit and honey blossom, delicate orange zest, a very multifaceted bouquet. Juicy, nuances of white fruit, taut and finessed, salty on the finish, mineral and long lasting, an energetic, animating style, certain ageing potential for development.
