A richly fragrant rosé Champagne, leading with grilled nut and ground coffee notes, segueing into exotic saffron and curry spice aromas that season the palate's panoply of poached apricot, toasted brioche, spun honey and crème de cassis flavors. Shows a fine, satiny mousse, with a bright spine of acidity that creates a long, mouthwatering frame for the expanding profile.
Aromas of earth, bark, mushroom, peach and smoke. Full-bodied with just the right phenolics that give drive and length. Fine bubbles. Like Grand Cru red Burgundy of the 1990s. Great finish.
Light rose with pink nuances, silver reflections; fine, very persistent mousse. Wild red berry compote, redcurrants, floral nuances of autumnal flowers, juniper, candied orange zest, notes of smoked bacon. Juicy yellow fruit nuances of greengage and yellow plum, biscuit, pleasant fruit expression, textural, well-balanced, preserved cherries with fig and mineral echoes. A multi-faceted food wine.
The balance between maturity and fruit in this Champagne is exemplary. It gives both ripeness to the red-currant fruits and a fine nutty richness that meld together seamlessly. This is a beautiful wine, perfectly ready to drink but also sure to age well in bottle.
