Tenuta Silvio Nardi's Brunello di Montalcino 2016 is a full-bodied Sangiovese red wine produced from Montalcino grapes in Tuscany, and it was aged in oak barrels in accordance with the tradition of that appellation. Moreover, 2016 was a year that provided all the conditions necessary for Sangiovese. The season began with cool, humid weather, then heat set in through July, and rain fell in the middle of September, conditions that benefited the late-ripening Sangiovese variety. This was followed by a significant increase in the temperature difference between day and night right up until harvest. The grape skins became thinner and more supple than the previous year, a characteristic that is evident in the wine in the glass. The aromas are richer, the color is deeper, and the wine has slightly less structural weight than the 2015 vintage. Many producers saw yields decrease by about 15-20% compared to an average year.

What makes this wine special is the winery's approach. Rather than blending all the grapes into a single house style, Nardi highlights the individuality of each vineyard. The alcohol content is approximately 14.5%, which is typical for Brunello.

It is suitable for both cellaring and immediate drinking. It is best enjoyed by 2045.
