Although Burgundy suffered from extreme heat and drought in 2022, the white wines from that vintage were remarkably fresh and crisp. Pierre-Vincent Girardin's “Corton-Charlemagne 2022” is a wine from a producer who has been making wine on the slopes of this Grand Cru since founding his estate in 2016. His approach, which includes low yields, organic farming, and aging in 456-liter barrels to minimise the influence of new oak, is ideally suited to a warm year like this one. We believe this wine will be at its best between 2024 and 2038.
