First vintage of this cuvée chez Laurent Ponsot.
Bright mid cherry hue; strawberry jam and raspberry on the nose and a touch of the woods. Solid structure, not light or frivolous. Fine dusting of pepper and spice, exciting fragrance with a serious note of gingerbread. (MH)
The Sentiers shows a much deeper plump crimson colour than the previous wines. Dark rich fruit leaps out in exuberant fashion, I wouldn’t want this to be any riper but it is not cooked. Indeed, it finishes with a fresh feel and there’s plenty to enjoy. Good length.
