Les Corvées des Vignes 2024 is a white Puligny-Montrachet from the Côte de Beaune, made by Jean-Marc Vincent from Chardonnay. Puligny is the delicate one among the Montrachet villages, and this bottling leans that way: tension first, weight second.

2024 was a wet growing season across Burgundy, and the whites came through it better than the reds. Chardonnay flowered in a kinder window, and mid-slope sites drained where the flatter ground did not. Losses in the Côte de Beaune ran roughly 10 to 20 percent for Chardonnay, which is painful but nothing like what the Pinot Noir growers faced. Picking across the region ran from around 12 September to the 24th, a brief clear stretch that made all the difference.

What comes out of a year like that is a leaner, more nervy style of white. Alcohol sits low, acidity stays bright, and the fruit reads cool rather than ripe. Growers generally pulled back on new oak too, which suits this profile.

A Puligny for people who find recent vintages too rich. And there is simply less of it than usual.
