Another of the portfolio's highlights is the 2019 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes, a deep and complete cuvée evocative of cherries, raspberries, rose petals, exotic spices and incense. Medium to full-bodied, seamless and layered, its chassis of ripe, powdery tannins is entirely concealed by the wine's concentrated core of vibrant fruit.
A dark and brooding colour. The bouquet is powerful for Chambolle with a rich dark berry fruit. There is a faint volatile touch which barely impinges. Vigorous and generous fruit on the palate, rich raspberries and a plum note as well, lush thanks to the vintage but not showing undue alcohol. Medium to long finish.
