The yellow-golden 2015 Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese Gold Capsule (AP #11) opens clear and aromatic on the nose, with super ripe peach aromas that I have rarely found in a Scharzhofberger; they are perfectly interwoven with the pure, crystalline, flinty slate and fine botrytis aromas. On the palate, this is a rich, intense and piquant Auslese that is gorgeously lush, pure and mineral. It finishes with great precision and a mouth-watering salinity. This is so concentrated and dense, but at the same time so delicate and even filigreed. This is amazing!
