Morey-Saint-Denis Aux Charmes 1er Cru 2024 Domaine Tortochot

The year 2024 proved to be a challenging vintage for the entire Côte de Nuits region: a rainy spring, the threat of powdery mildew, and low temperatures during the growing season meant that the harvest began later than usual. As for the “Aux Charmes” Premier Cru from Morey-Saint-Denis by Domaine Tortochot, it appears that, to preserve the wine’s freshness, the grapes were carefully selected, and whole-cluster fermentation was used to a greater extent than usual (about 25% in warm or challenging vintages). This is expected to be a lighter and more aromatic Pinot Noir than the 2022 and 2023 vintages, which are characterized by a pronounced note of ripeness. Enjoy this wine between 2027 and 2038.
