The 2024 growing season in the Côte de Nuits was a true test of patience. Due to a cool and rainy spring, as well as the threat of powdery mildew that persisted throughout the summer, Chantal Michel-Tortosho’s team was forced to constantly tend to the vineyards, and thanks to green pruning carried out in August, yields were reduced even further compared to typical years. The "Les Sentiers" vineyard, located on the Morey-Saint-Denis side of Chambolle-Musigny, is characterized by a more austere and structured style, in contrast to the typical Chambolle-Musigny with its rich aroma. And the 2024 vintage vividly reflects this very trend. Expect a Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru with brighter acidity, restrained fruit intensity, and the taut flavor profile characteristic of cool vintages. This wine is best enjoyed between 2028 and 2038. If you plan to taste it earlier, it is recommended to let the wine breathe in a decanter, as it is still quite dense. This wine is worth aging; it is not intended for immediate consumption.
