The restrained and beautifully layered nose offers up a blend of plum, soy, anise and exotic tea. There is excellent volume to the rich, seductively textured and punchy larger-scaled flavors that possess an agreeably sappy quality on the lengthy, firm, balanced and mildly austere finale. This is pretty much a classic Suchots.
Successfully protected by bougies. Glowing purple, not much nose at first, just a bit of barrel. A bit of light reduction yet with a depth of fruit that comes up from below. Some tannins, plenty of generous dark fruit alongside.
