Once again there is enough reduction present to blur the nuances of the spicier dark berry fruit aromas. The unusually supple and again, borderline easy-going flavors tighten up noticeably on the delicious, balanced and dusty finale. This is certainly pretty but it's on the lighter side for a grand cru. With that said, like several wines in the range, the fine balance should enable to repay a decade of cellaring.
A more energetic ruby crimson, with a sweeter perfumed fruit. Flowers and raspberries. Delicious energy throughout and light on its feet. Maybe less immediately striking than Gaudichots but I think it is the finer of the two. I love the aftertaste.
