A smooth, bright red, stylish and accessible for its lively cherry and spice flavors, though not that multidimensional. It has clarity and a lingering finish.

Pretty red pinot fruit aromas combine with intense blueberry notes and flavors that are somewhat lighter than the Clos de Vougeot yet retain the classic linearity and robust structure of young Bonnes Mares. This finishes with outstanding persistence and impressive balance but not the sheer depth of material of the Clos de Vougeot. Still, this is an elegant and harmonious wine with impressive persistence.
