A red Burgundy from the Côte de Beaune: this is pure Pinot Noir, the Auxey-Duresses 2017 from Coche Dury. While it can be enjoyed immediately, decanting it will further enhance its smoky nuances.
Raphaël Coche cultivates vines over 35 years old on a 9-hectare vineyard spanning six communes. Winemaking follows long-established, traditional methods; extended contact with the lees creates a firm structure that envelops the wine's rich fruitiness.
In 2017, the Auxey-Duresses area produced a total of 6,459 hectoliters of wine, of which 2,943 hectoliters were red wines in the De Village category. For red wine varieties, the maximum yield per hectare was limited to 40 hectoliters.
