In 2019, Pomerol experienced a warm and dry growing season, and timely rains during the hot summer created favorable conditions for growing Merlot on the clay plateau where the Petrus estate is located. Chateau Petrus 2019 is made from grapes harvested by hand over the course of just a few days, as in previous years, from vines with an average age of over 45 years. Since no second wine is produced, all of the selected grapes were used to create this wine. We believe that 2019 is a vintage capable of withstanding long-term aging. First, let the wine mature in the cellar, and then enjoy it.
