Plenty of currant, raspberry and mineral aromas, with hints of leaf and wet earth. Full-bodied, with fine tannins and a tar, berry and cherry aftertaste. Slightly rustic for Latour. Not as exciting as I remember from barrel.
Rich and round wine. Full-bodied, with very good fruit and long velvety tannins. Needs more time. Round and rich. This is always outstanding and underrated by many. '89/'90 Bordeaux non-blind horizontal.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 18/20 points.
