James Suckling (95)

94-95
Limpid, clear and bright, with fine smoke, herbs, light cream and stone fruit. Pure and dry, with very good mid-palate volume and acidity. Well balanced, with a medium body and a long, linear finish. Bright but not sharp. 64.5% semillon and 35.5% sauvignon blanc and sauvignon gris

Falstaff (93)

Pale yellow-green, silver reflections. Fine nuances of pear and honeydew melon, cold bouquet marked by Semillon, a hint of lime zest underneath. Juicy, elegant, white fruit nuances, fine acidity, mineral-lemon finish, shows length, a balanced companion at the table

The second wine of both La Mission and Haut-Brion, the 2024 La Clarte De Haut-Brion Blanc is largely Semillon yet includes 35.5% Sauvignon Blanc. Crushed citrus, tart pineapple, mint, and some mineral notes all define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied on the palate, with rock-solid mid-palate density, nicely integrated acidity, and a crisp, clean finish. It shows the fresh style of the vintage while still bringing solid depth and texture. It's an impressive second wine

Vinous (93)

91-93
The 2024 La Clarté de Haut Brion is terrific. It offers terrific depth, character and personality. Lemon confit, white pepper, slate, chalk and mint build nicely, but I am most struck by the wine's textural depth and overall presence. This is an especially fine Clarté.

Robert Parker (92)

90-92
A delicate smoky reduction followed by aromas of pear, spring blossoms and flowers introduces the 2024 La Clarté de Haut-Brion, a medium to full-bodied, sappy and layered wine with a fleshy palate due to its proportion of Sémillon, with a lively, saline texture. This is a blend of 64.5% Sémillon and 35.5% Sauvignon Blanc
