Burghound (95)

A nose of truly stunning aromatic complexity is followed by layers upon layers of black and red pinot fruit flavors that possess rich, ripe and warm soil notes plus a lovely touch of underlying minerality on the immensely long finish. This is a huge wine of enormous proportions and it is perhaps the most serious wine in the range yet the structure is such that it will not require more than a decade to come around. Bravo!
