The 2004 Pinot Noirs are more near-term propositions than the more structured, backward 2005s. The 2004 Pinot Noir Three Sisters displays a dark ruby/plum color and notes of root vegetables intermixed with sweet plum, raspberry, and gamey, foresty scents. The wine has terrific fruit, medium to full body, no hard edges, and an opulent, almost lavish finish that goes on for 50+ seconds.
Shows wonderful purity of flavor, brimming with ripe blackberry, wild berry and blueberry fruit that's rich yet delicate and light on its feet. This gains depth and richness on the finish, where the texture is smooth.
