Here's a wine that I have not tasted in a while. The Tua Rita 2020 Lodano Bianco is the result of a long winemaking evolution underway over these past years. This blend of Chardonnay, Riesling and Gewürztraminer sees its components vinified apart and then put through a brief three months in oak. This adds noticeable richness and texture to the wine, and as expected, the bouquet is especially lifted and floral thanks to the aromatic grapes in its DNA. White rose, honey and summer peach rise from the wine's medium body.
Waxed lemon, citrus pith, sliced apple and fresh pineapple on the nose. Some cardamom and salted almonds, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with fresh acidity and a waxy texture. Excellent length.
