Exhibits fine depth and complexity, showing hints of licorice and tar in addition to the core flavor of cherry. Shows ample power, building to a long aftertaste of cherry, tobacco and mineral.—Biondi-Santi non-blind retrospective (April 2011). Best from 2015 through 2048.
Lighter and more evolved than most. Mid ruby with a rusty rim. Sweet and complex on the nose. Easy without being very ambitious. Chewy finish. Pretty dry end. Lots of heat. Dry tannins. Classic Brunello?
