The largest plot is owned by Domaine de la Romanee-Conti.
The vineyard which is located in Flagey-Echezeaux has a uniform terroir, which produces wines with a lot of structure. The terroir consists of free-draining, pebbly limestone and clay soils that support deep root growth. The climate guarantees slow ripening, which adds richness and balance to the wines.
