“Gold Brut” by Armand de Brignac was deliberately created as a non-vintage wine. It is a blend of several base vintages, and that is precisely what defines this wine. The house places great importance on ensuring that the taste of “Brut Gold Cuvée” remains consistent in every bottle, so the house of Cattier creates a blend from different vintages, evening out the quality fluctuations typical of Champagne and caused by weather conditions. All three grape varieties, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay, are harvested by hand, and the wine is then bottled in a golden metal bottle, which has earned it the nickname “Ace of Spades.”
