A rich even purple. Plumper fruit all round. Then a drier finish with higher acidity. But the fruit fills the mouth even so, ripe cherries and fresh raspberry, superb length and much gentler tannins. Fine potential here and pleasingly fresh. Drink from 2028-2036.
A subtle but still perceptible application of wood sets off the exceptionally cool high-toned aromas of various red berries where background hints of the sauvage, green tea and rose petal can be found. Here too there is very good volume and intensity to the surprisingly succulent medium-bodied flavors that also flash a borderline pungent minerality on the moderately austere and ever-so-slightly lean finale. Once again, I suspect that this will at least partially flesh out with time in bottle though with that said, it's not likely to ever be seductive.
