Sac Actun is a Yucatec Maya word that means "White Cave System". The Sac actun is an underwater cave system situated along the Caribbean coast of the Yucatán Peninsula. It is said to be the longest known underwater cave system.
The remains of a Mammut and a human female that was given the name Naia dating back as old as 13.000 years have been found in the cave.
This Tequila is an ode to the maya heritage.
A Tribute to Ancient Ideas
The Mayans revered cenotes because they were a water source during dry times; giving them the name cenote meaning ‘sacred well’. They believed cenotes were ‘windows to the underworld’ inhabited by gods and goddesses including the god of rainfall, Chaac.
