So generous, ripe and full, it’s rich at first sip, then gains structure and energy with time in the glass. Dark plums, black cherries, gentle blackberries and blueberries, then flinty, stony minerals with moderate tannins melded in. It’s long and full, so well balanced and fresh.
The 2022 Pinot Noir Stonecreek lifts from the glass with a richly seductive mix of crushed raspberries and strawberries, complicated by nuances of licorice and sweet sage. Deeply textural, it offers a sensation of liquid stone beneath an air of violet inner florals. Depths of ripe red berry fruits saturate the palate. The 2022 leaves the palate drenched in primary concentration, framed by sweet tannins as a subtle twang of blood orange and graphite mineral tones slowly fades.
The 2022 Pinot Noir Stonecreek has a deeper, jeweled ruby red color and is more shy initially to open, with notes of framboise, cherry liqueur, forest earth, violets, and sweet herbs. The palate is medium-bodied, though it expands, with ripe tannins and a light gamey richness that builds through thr long and saturating finish.
