The 2025 Le Blanc de Duhart-Milon constitutes the fifth vintage from regrafted vines on cooler, late-ripening limestone soils, mainly Sémillon with 15% malo. It has a well-defined bouquet, perhaps more primal than previous vintages at this stage, leesy with touches of apple blossom. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, bright acids, again, a little more lees than before, but that leads to a complex, stem ginger tinged finish that lingers in the mouth. Very fine. - Neal Martin
91-93
A serious, classic Bordeaux Blanc, the 2025 Blanc De Duhart-Milon is based on 68% Sémillon, 31% Sauvignon Blanc, and 1% Sauvignon Gris, first produced in 2020 but only made available commercially starting in 2021. Bright citrus, hints of pear, chalky minerality, and minty herbs all define the nose. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has a nicely balanced, layered mouthfeel, plenty of mid-palate richness, and bright acidity that shines on the finish. Checking in at 12.4% alcohol with a pH of 3.28, it's a classic, serious white that will keep for 15+ years.
Wow gorgeous aromatics of grapefruit, white peach, lemon, clementine and green apple. So expressive and full of freshness, fruit and flavour. The texture is just so great, slightly thick but not overly so, succulent, mouthwatering but grippy. Slightly sweet pineapple with some chalk, vanilla, cream, bitter citrus and fresh lemon and lime. Love it! Absolutely delicious. 10-15% malolactic fermentation. 3.28pH
Very pale yellow-green, silver reflections. Nuances of grapefruit, fresh gooseberries, a hint of passion fruit, underlaid with lime zest. Juicy, creamy, elegant, white triope fruit, full of finesse, lemony-salty finish, medium length, an elegant food companion with potential.
