The 2005 Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Belemnita opens a bit lactic on the nose in the first moment but then delivers super ripe honey dew melon, sweet cherry, white peach and raspberry aromas on the nose. This is a wide, expansive, highly complex and elegant Chardonnay with grip and tension and a very long, intense finish. It is quite fruity for a Chardonnay but highly delicate, fresh and elegant, with a long, complex, well-structured, yeasty and aromatic finish. A great wine. Total production: 2,400 bottles.
