The year 2024 was a challenging vintage for all of Burgundy, and the cool, wet growing season proved to be a real test for producers in the Côte de Beaune. In Vincent Girardin’s “Auxey-Duresses Les Vieilles Vignes Blanc,” the old vines demonstrated their true value. With their deep roots and low yields, they produce a more intense flavor even under unfavorable weather conditions.
Auxey-Duresses is quietly situated behind Meursault, and the Chardonnay grown here has a more austere structure and pronounced minerality compared to wines from the neighboring famous town. Enjoy this refined white wine. It will continue to delight you until 2034.
