Saxum
Saxum is a small, highly acclaimed producer in the Paso Robles Willow Creek District, founded by Justin Smith. The winery focuses on Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre blends sourced from limestone-rich hillside vineyards, notably the James Berry Vineyard. Saxum is known for low yields, minimal intervention, and concentrated but texturally refined wines. The winery gained major attention when the 2007 Saxum James Berry Vineyard was awarded 100 points by Robert Parker. Production is extremely limited and largely allocated.
