Havens Winery was founded in 1984 in Napa Valley and became known for Merlot and Bordeaux-inspired blends, especially its “Bourriquot” Cabernet Franc–Merlot blend. The winery emphasized balanced, food-friendly profiles rather than high-alcohol “power” styles. In the late 2000s, Havens changed ownership, and some of its core vineyards and labels were acquired by local producers; current bottlings using the Havens name are associated with the Smith-Anderson Wine Group. Critical reception historically noted the wines for restraint and elegance.
