Max merlot reserva 2017 Errázuriz

Elazuris harvested its 2017 “Max Reserva Merlot” following a hot and dry growing season in the Aconcagua Valley, which was one of the warmest on record in Chile. As a result, the grapes ripened more quickly, so the team harvested earlier than usual to preserve acidity. These characteristics are clearly evident when the wine is poured into a glass. Aromas of plum and black cherry unfold first, accompanied by soft tannins. The wine has a velvety texture and medium body, which is what Merlot connoisseurs expect from this Chilean region. Although it is not as restrained as wines from cooler vintages in this region, its freshness remains outstanding. The wine is currently ready to drink.
