A riper nose of cassis, spicy black raspberry liqueur and newly turned earth is complemented by sleek, vibrant and delicious middle weight flavors that possess an attractively textured mid-palate before terminating in a firm, youthfully austere and slightly grippy finale.
Mid ruby. Plenty of fruit on the nose, but currently a little bit swamped by the wood, especially on the palate. The fruit has the caressing texture of Bressandes, and was not picked too late. One new barrel in three, and the oak will settle down, at which point the fourth star will be merited as the fruit is fighting back strongly at the finish.
