This is beautifully rendered, with youthfully compact notes of raspberry, boysenberry and bitter cherry compote stitched with light accents of briar, warm earth, sassafras, bergamot tea and singed apple wood. Its range and precision are amplified and carried with aplomb by the vintage’s highly pixelated acidity. Gorgeous and built for cellaring.

The 2023 Pinot Noir UV Vineyard is dense, heady and explosive. The purity of the fruit is just superb. Bright red/purplish fruit, rose petal, lavender, spice and blood orange all soar from the glass. A wine of depth and textural intensity, the 2023 is just magnificent. So aromatic. Bright acids pull it all together on the finish. The UV is the most delicate and refined of the Pinots from Aubert this year.

The 2023 Pinot Noir UV is medium ruby-purple in color. A gorgeous perfume of fresh raspberries, wild strawberries, and lavender wafts from the glass, followed by hints of wet slate, forest floor, and Sichuan pepper. The full-bodied palate has amazing tension and fine-grained tannins that frame the vibrant red berry and floral layers, finishing long and fragrant.
