In 2017 it was voted the best sweet wine in its category by both Meininger Verlag and Vinum Weinmagazin.
These Riesling grapes were harvested from the Großer Gewächs-Age "Kirschgarten" with a must weight of 144° Oechsle. After several weeks of slow fermentation, the wine was stored on the yeast until just before bottling.
Noble sweet Riesling. Dried, perfect raisins result in this liqueur-like specialty. White wine with a strong sweetness, but very lively with animating acidity and low alcohol content. Honey scent with smoky notes. Elegant aromas of overripe yellow fruits, especially extreme exotic notes enchant the palate. This wine has great aging potential and will only show its true greatness in 10-20 years.
