Cask sample. Very pale ruby (the palest wine ever at Grivot?). Red- and black-fruit nose. Sweet fruit with good intensity. Fresh acidity and rounded, sweet finish untroubled by tannins. Digeste and very approachable. (MH)
This is also aromatically extremely fresh with a slightly more elegant nose of just crushed red pinot fruit and a hint of anise. The sleek, delicious and nicely detailed flavors display a beguiling underlying tension on the lingering and balanced finish that is almost delicate. Lovely and worth a look.
Mid crimson purple. The fruit is soft and rounded, raspberry/strawberry, showing the elegance of Chassin wood. Develops well on the palate, perhaps even gaining in precision. Persistent with fine tannins
