The 2014 Vosne Romanée la Combe Brûlée was more backward and taciturn than I expected, not quite as coalesced. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, the fruit just a little blocky at the moment that underpins what is a foursquare finish. Hopefully more flesh will develop during the remainder of it élevage.
Bilberry, currant, graphite and spice flavors are the hallmarks of this elegant, stony red. Succulent and vibrant, with a long, mouthwatering finish.
