The Raveneau 2011 Chablis Butteaux smells of elderflower and iris as well as of the lime and white peach that form its juicy palate matrix. Chalk and white pepper in this wine’s sustained finish – like its firmness of feel – convey a certain austerity, but you can count on its having more expressive moments between now and 2020.
