From the Oberhauser lieu-dit in the Klostersatz, Trum, Steinertal, Loibenberg and Kellerberg, Pichler's 2018 Dürnsteiner Riesling Smaragd is clear, fresh and piquant on the apricot-compote nose. Lush and piquant on the palate, this is a more textured, lush and juicy Riesling that's gorgeous, tight and grippy, with some Muscat flavors on the finish. Tasted at the domain in September 2019.
