SMWS Tasting Notes
Colour: Yellow Iris petal
Flavour: Spicy & dry
An array of fruity aromas came to mind; passion fruit, freshly sliced mango, pineapple juice, raspberry coulis as well as lemon, orange, and cherry flavoured hard candies called Campino. It was a truly mouth filling experience neat with flavours of candied lemon peel and spiced wood next to blackcurrant jam and spiced persimmon frozen yoghurt, whilst in the finish a Crème de Menthe on the rocks. Diluted, we found ourselves sitting on a newly varnished wooden bench in the sunshine drinking a ‘Five Alive’ fruit juice whilst eating fresh fruit salad with cream and a coconut panna cotta with pineapple salsa.
Drinking tip: Will take you to a sunny place
