Jancis Robinson (17)

A classic Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah blend (50/50). Mid crimson and still looks quite youthful (though the room is dark). There’s a sort of gamey sweetness here, and dominant red-fruit aromas. Very different from the 2008. Peppery and dry on the palate with very fine-grained tannins, slimmed down to gain in elegance. A salty aftertaste. (JH) Julia Harding MW
