The 2014 Vosne Romanée 1Er Cru Au Dessus de Malconsorts comes from a tiny parcel just Malconsorts. It has a well behaved bouquet, not wishing to put a foot wrong, with briary and orange cordial scents infusing the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin; there is black cherries, blueberry and a touch of cold stone on the finish. It is a lovely Vosne-Romanée, however there are only 300-400 bottles produced from its one and a half barrels.
