The Akkeshi Keichitsu is the 10th release in the 24 Solar Terms series by the distillery based in Hokkaido. Whisky enthusiasts from around the world have highly appreciated this series for its unique, delightful, and captivating flavors that each bottle holds. This new release builds upon its predecessors, showcasing incredible notes of sticky toffee, sea salt, citrus fruits, and hints of cinnamon spice as the stars of the show. "Keichitsu" represents the third day of the Japanese solar terms. In English, "Kei" translates to "open," and "Chitsu" means "insects stay in the ground during winter." During this time of the year, it is said that the weather becomes warmer, and the insects emerge from their underground hiding places. This warmer climate also accelerates the maturation process of the whisky, resulting in deeper, more complex flavors.
