I tasted the bottled 2022 En Barberon Chardonnay that I had already tasted from barrel last year. It comes from younger vines on Lias soils and is the only white from 2022 that had no added sulfur at all. It went through 100% malolactic, and it has a lactic and creamy side with a lot of concentration and power. I liked this one better than the Les Bruyères...

This wine is grown on Lias clay soils covered with a thin layer of limestone scree. It has been aged for two years in oak barrels. The wine is neither filtered nor was any sulphite added (may still contain natural occurring sulphite).
