The 2022 Pinot Noir Nysa Vineyard comes from vines planted in 1990. Fermented with 75% whole clusters, it has pure, alluring aromas of blackberry, blueberry, tar, earth, aniseed and soaring lavender-like perfume. The medium-bodied palate is just as intensely perfumed with a powerful, concentrated core of fruit. It’s structured by grainy tannins and vibrant acidity and has a long, floral finish. It will benefit from 3-5+ years in the cellar.
The aromas are floral and full, with wet clay, sappy blue fruits and a violet-driven elegance. The Nysa Vineyard in the Dundee Hills appellation was planted in 1990 and has grown to about 33 acres over time. The palate shows radiant red berries, a savoury note of dried thyme and a blend of light spices that end with a dance of white pepper across the finish.
