So rich and silky, with completely resolved tannins, this is one of the greatest Riojas of the great 1964 vintage. Still so much red-berry fruit on the nose, but also notes of lilac, lavender and spices. Builds and builds on the wide-screen, layered palate, ending in a stunningly refined finish that doesn’t want to stop!
