The Vie di Romans 2024 Friuli Isonzo Pinot Grigio Dessimis shows a distinctive ramato (or copper-colored) hue that comes not from maceration but from the natural pigmentation of the fully ripe skins. This biotype, with links to Pinot Noir, gives the wine a deeper phenolic structure, especially in the 2024 vintage, which shows more intensity than the lighter 2023. Vinified without oxygen to preserve freshness, the wine offers delicate yet primary aromas of Williams pear with a subtle spicy edge. The palate carries notable grip and a phenolic bite, almost drinking like a red wine, with texture and structure defining the finish.
