From four plots on the Puligny-Montrachet side of Chassagne: Les Houillières, En Journoblot, Les Beuttes and Fontaine Sot. Cask sample.
Mid lemon. A touch of vanilla on the nose, otherwise lemon and apple. Dry, medium-bodied with whistle-clean crisp acidity and a powerful, persistent finish. (MH)
All grown on the Puligny side, Journoblot, Houillères, Beuttes and Pierres. Fine pale yellow. A delicious nose, with a little weight to it. Excellent racy stuff, just the right reduction, this holds up well alongside the St-Aubin 1ers Crus, which is not the case everywhere.
